At Tea & Tarot, we believe healing can be sacred, messy, and filled with laughter! No one embodies that truth more fiercely than Jess Leone, our shop manager and the powerhouse behind many of our most transformative in-store events. Jess creates bold, unfiltered spaces where women are invited to show up exactly as they are. With a heart for community and a passion for empowerment, Jess helps others remember what it means to feel whole, seen, and sovereign.

During a recent visit to the shop, our social media manager, Kaza, spoke with Jess about her journey, her mission, and why she’s so passionate about helping women reclaim their power, f-bombs and all!

KAZA: What first sparked your journey into the metaphysical world?

JESS: Pain. Grief. Burnout. I was trying to carry everything for everyone, disconnected from my own body, living in survival mode. The metaphysical world reminded me that I’m allowed to come home to myself. That healing can be powerful and messy. And once I got a taste of that truth, I couldn’t help but guide others back to it too.

KAZA: How would you describe your practice, and what do you specialize in?

JESS: I’m an inspirational speaker, community builder, and barrier breaker on a mission to change the conversation for women around what it means to live unapologetically. So many of us have been taught to disconnect, to shrink, to stay small in the name of being “nice” or “humble.” My work is about reclaiming SPACE—physically, emotionally, energetically.

In my Empowerment Sessions, I help women get out of their heads and back into their bodies. Through a blend of intuitive guidance, EFT (tapping), energy work, and real, raw conversation, I help women reconnect with their truth. I’ve made it my mission to create spaces where women finally sign their own permission slip—to show up fully, connect deeply, and thrive without apology. My hope is that my journey inspires them to step into theirs... boldly, wildly, and in full alignment with their deepest values.

KAZA: What do you love most about working with clients in this space?

JESS: Watching someone remember their power is holy. I live for that moment when a woman realizes she’s not broken, just disconnected from her truth. I don’t heal people, and never want to be put on a pedestal—I hold space while they heal themselves, and that? That’s sacred. There’s nothing like it seeing the fire come back into someone’s eyes!

KAZA: Can you share a memorable experience where your practice made a meaningful impact?

JESS: One woman came into her session looking like she’d been carrying the world on her shoulders: emotionally exhausted, totally disconnected from her body, and convinced that staying strong meant staying silent. By the end of our time together (after some energy work, guided release, and real, soul-deep conversation) she wasn’t the same woman. She cried. She breathed. She said, “I didn’t know I was allowed to feel safe inside my own body again. And that moment was everything.

I love watching women rise from the rubble they've been buried under: expectations, obligations, old stories, and more. Watching someone come home to themselves… that’s the kind of shift that ripples through every part of their life.

KAZA: For those new to your area of expertise, what advice or insights would you offer?

JESS: You don’t need to hit rock bottom or have it all figured out to start this work. You just need to be willing to be honest...with yourself FIRST. A lot of women think they have to be “better” before they can show up for themselves… more healed, more balanced, more something. But the truth is: this path isn’t about fixing yourself, it’s about remembering yourself. Trust that you’re not too much, not too late, and never too lost to come home.

You’re allowed to take up space. You’re allowed to want more. And you’re allowed to rewrite the story: one truth, one boundary, one brave step at a time. All you have to do is start. I’ve got you from there!

KAZA: What do you do on your days off from the shop?

JESS: Honestly? I just try to let myself be human. Some days that looks like catching up on rest, deep-cleaning my space with music blasting, or walking barefoot outside just to remember I’m allowed to slow down. Other days it’s voice-noting (or karaoke!) with my best friends, dreaming up my next event, or spending time with my hubby and our pup, Bailey!

Jess’s sessions aren’t your average wellness experience, they are brave, bold, and radically real. Ready to reclaim your space and reconnect with your power? Jess is here to walk beside you.
