A hereditary witch with over 50 years of experience, Sarafina brings deep ancestral knowledge and embodied wisdom to everything she does. From her early days surrounded by green witches, ritual, and mystery, to decades spent teaching, healing, and guiding others through life’s most sacred transitions, Sarafina’s work is a true calling. She offers powerful services at the shop, which help clients step into their fullest selves using Lightwork, intuitive insight, herbalism, and a lifetime of magickal experience. Recently, Kaza, one of our shop witches, sat down with Sarafina for a cozy chat to learn more about her story, her offerings, and the journey that led her here. Read on for a glimpse into Sarafina's world.

KAZA: What first sparked your journey into the metaphysical world?

SARAFINA: I am a hereditary witch, so I was raised with lots of folk medicine, ritual and mysterious happenings by two green witches- avid gardeners, artists and lovers of the Earth. My grandmothers and great grandmothers were astrologers, accomplished women and tarot readers. I spent endless hours in the woods surrounding our house communing with the fairy folk, elementals, birds and animals. My life was filled with art, music and creative expression in all I did. I was a seeker and went to all of my friend’s churches/ temples over the years, as well as playing organ in many churches, just to explore their spirituality. When I finally found myself under a full moon in circle with a coven of witches, I felt I was home.

KAZA: How would you describe your practice and what do you specialize in?

SARAFINA: Being a witch is who I am, not what I do and determines my entire view of life. My speciality currently is about reading your energy field to help Enlighten, Empower and Embody the three stages of a woman’s life, the Maiden, Mother and Crone. I am able to channel your spirit guides, guardians and ancestors to guide you in becoming your most authentic self thru your body’s challenges and cues, as well as past life memories. Our bodies reflect and hold memories and trauma that can be released with energy work (Lightwork), herbal and spiritual counseling, mind/body/spirit balancing and spell work.

KAZA: What do you love most about working with clients in this space?

SARAFINA: I love that the energy is a culmination of Heather’s touch on all of the shop’s products, the atmosphere that she has created, the amazing witch energy and the wonder of the clients. The cottage and the tearoom are sanctuaries of peace in a confused world.

KAZA: Can you share a memorable experience where your practice made a meaningful impact?

SARAFINA: The gratitude and joy that comes from being heard, really seen and validated is priceless. Each session is memorable as we all have so many different interpretations of what our lives are about. Receiving confirmation on various things that come up remains magickal to me and I’m so grateful to be able to share this gift and see my clients heal big and small challenges.

KAZA: For those new to your area of expertise, what advice or insights would you offer?

SARAFINA: The Women’s Mysteries are the foundation of the Triple Goddess of Maiden, Mother, Crone and the three major stages of a woman’s life. We all experience these stages and can learn how to be at our most empowered at each phase. Take your time to discover what it means to stand in your power fully and authentically, based on your soul’s journey, not what society tells us we should be. It is the missing information most women never learn.

KAZA: What do you do on your days off from the shop?

SARAFINA: I have retired a few times over now and prefer to spend my free time in my garden talking with my plants, doing yoga, making herbal medicine and creating sacred space within my yard and home.
