Crystal Meditation & Jewelry Creation with Deonna

Take some time to discover your creative side while healing the chakra system. You will begin class by taking a moment, closing your eyes, and allowing your crystal to choose you. Then learn about the healing properties of your crystal in relation to the chakra system and how you can use them in your everyday life. After you've discovered the healing magic your crystal possesses you can then allow yourself to drift away during a short guided meditation that will help to open the physical, emotional, and spiritual body to create space for creativity and healing. Once you've found stillness and balance within your Soul you will begin to create and transform your crystal into a one-of-a-kind pendant. Deonna will give a demonstration on wire wrapping crystals. You are then free to discover your creativity with your healing crystal. Upon reentering reality you will be able to take your crystal and its healing energy with you everywhere, allowing it to assist you in reaching your ultimate dharma.

Intructor Bio: Deonna Thomas

Owner of Good Vibes Yoga Studio, Deonna is a 500 hour certified yoga instructor, certified reiki master, jewelry designer, henna artist, and holistic hair stylist. Deonna discovered yoga in 2015 during a dark point in her life and it since has become an integral part of her self healing journey. Yoga has helped her to work through a lot of numerous life challenges; addiction, depression, anxiety, eating disorder and body dysmorphia, divorce, bankruptcy, and the little ups and downs of daily life. When going through it all, the yoga mat was her safe space, the space to come back to the self and shut off the problems of the world. After a family vacation where she shared her practice with loved ones she was encouraged to share yoga and its magic to the world.

Deonna received her transformative 200 YTT certification through Soul Space in Plantsville, CT in June 2018. After her yoga training she began playing with energy work which eventually led to her reiki master certification with Blissful by Melissa in Glastonbury, CT in April 2019. In January 2022 Deonna completed her 300YTT training with Indra Yoga Institute in the Sacred Valley of Peru, working with gifted instructors and local healers to deepen her understanding of movement, vibration, and the natural world. With now 500 hours of training under her belt she plans on attending more teacher trainings in the near future, continuing to feel inspired by the teachings of yoga.

Deonna is a lover of animals and nature, offering outdoor classes from May to October. In her free time she may be out hiking, on her paddleboard, spending time up at the horse farm, or with her furbaby Miss Penny Lane. She has incorporated her love of animals into her work through fundraiser based yoga classes at the farm. Deonna feels deeply connected to the natural world and is obsessed with crystals and their energetic and geological magic. Combining her love of crystals and art, she began wire wrapping jewelry that is now sold at a few local businesses. She also uses crystals during yoga and reiki, enhancing energy flow during these practices. In the past few years Deonna has grown quite the collection of sound healing instruments that she loves to incorporate into her group classes and private sessions. Her personal practice and community offerings are ever evolving.

As Good Vibes continues to grow she plans to continue collaborating with other local healers and teachers infusing others' gifts of sound, essential oils, and more into her yogic offerings. Deonna has some big dreams for Good Vibes so keep an eye out for new offerings as we grow and heal together.
